The agreement between your practice and us. Written to be read.
Last updated 3 September 2026
These terms are between you and Pinsta Ltd, of BizSpace, Belvedere House, Basing View, Basingstoke, RG21 4HG, who operates Pinsta. By creating an account or using the extension you accept them.
If you are agreeing on behalf of a practice, you confirm you may bind it.
Pinsta applies a client-specific password to documents you export from your accounting software, on your own machine, before they reach anyone else. It records what happened, and it can send your client a one-time link to their PIN.
It does not send your clients their documents. How a document reaches a client remains your decision and your responsibility.
We cannot recover a PIN. PINs are encrypted with a key that does not let us read them, which is the point. If a PIN is lost, a new one can be set for future documents. Documents already sent keep the PIN they were locked with, and neither you nor we can open them without it.
Please read that again before relying on Pinsta, because it is the one thing that cannot be undone later.
Subscriptions are billed in advance through Stripe, monthly or annually, at the plan you choose. Prices exclude VAT.
You can change plan at any time. Moving up takes effect immediately and is charged pro rata; moving down takes effect at your next renewal so you keep what you have paid for.
You can cancel at any time and keep the service until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund part-periods, except where the law requires it.
We may change prices with 30 days’ notice. If you do not want to continue, cancel before it takes effect.
Documents you have already protected stay protected, and stay openable with the PINs your clients already hold. The encryption is inside each file, not in your subscription. What ends is the ability to protect new documents.
We will keep your account data for a short period in case you come back, then delete it. See the privacy notice for how long.
We will provide Pinsta with reasonable skill and care, and we will tell you about planned interruptions where we can.
We do not promise the service will never be unavailable, nor that it will suit a particular purpose you have not told us about. Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
Otherwise, neither of us is liable to the other for loss of profit, loss of business, or indirect loss, and our total liability in any twelve month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period.
Pinsta is a control, not a guarantee of compliance. It does not make your practice compliant with any standard on its own, and we do not say otherwise.
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or end an account that breaches these terms, or that we are legally required to stop serving, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents us.
Pinsta is operated by Pinsta Ltd. The business may be transferred to a company that acquires it.
We may transfer this agreement, and our rights and obligations under it, to that company. We will tell account holders by email when it happens. Your rights under these terms are unaffected and nothing else about them changes.
You may not transfer your account or these terms to anyone else without our agreement.
If we change these terms we will tell account holders by email before the change takes effect.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
